WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

The women’s basketball team wrapped up their regular season this past weekend with two home games, a win over Martin Luther College (MLC) on Friday and a loss to Bethany Lutheran College (BLC) on Saturday, the number one seed in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC). The Rams’ record stands at 21-4, a program record, as they continue into playoffs. At the number three seed in the UMAC, NCU will host MLC this Wednesday at 5:30 pm. The Rams have beaten MLC twice this season and as recently as this past Friday. The next round of the tournament is scheduled for Friday the 25th.

MEN’S BASKETBALL

The men’s basketball team got both wins this weekend, one over MLC and another against BLC. With the finish of the regular season, the Rams moved to 15-10 overall and 9-5 in the UMAC, tying for second in program history. And like the women’s team, they also hold the three seed in the UMAC, but will instead host Northland College (NC) this Wednesday at 7:30 pm. NCU has beaten NC twice already this season by 20 or more points. The semifinals of the UMAC tournament are set for this Friday the 25th.

MEN’S AND WOMEN’S INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD

The Rams get ready for their last indoor competition of the season with the UMAC tournament this Friday the 25th, and Saturday the 26th. The meet will be held at the University of Wisconsin Superior and will encompass all of the schools in the UMAC.

SOFTBALL

NCU’s softball team is just about to get into the swing of things with a spring break trip to Clermont, FL for a whole slew of games. The Rams will open up with a game against Regis College this Sunday the 27th at 4:30 pm CT. After that, NCU will play a double header on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and then will head back to Minnesota for the rest of the spring season.

Be on the lookout for a spring sports preview including details on the softball, baseball, outdoor track and field, and lacrosse teams for their upcoming seasons.
