U of M Shuttle Crashes into Restaurant
This past Tuesday afternoon, a University of Minnesota commuter shuttle crashed into Acadia Cafe. No one was hurt in the incident as there were only two employees in the restaurant at the time and just a handful of people aboard the bus. A crowd quickly gathered to look at the vehicle that slammed through the front door, the coffee bar, and the cash register. The crash itself is under investigation.
Located on Cedar Ave., right in the heart of the U of M campus, Acadia is a primary spot for students looking for good music, good company, and good music. However, the accident will put their business on hold for a potential of weeks as the small cafe finds a way to repair the damage. In the meantime, Acadia set up a GoFundMe page for the workers’ compensation while the building is being fixed, which has currently raised over $10,000.
