[October 20, 2023 St. Paul, MN] This November to December 2023 the European Christmas Market will come back to the Union Depot with 60 vendors that offer an intercultural shopping experience for you to enjoy with your family! This is the 10th year of this event located in St. Paul, MN. 

According to the European Christmas Market website, you can join in “Celebrating our 10th Anniversary at the 2023 European Christmas Market! The European Christmas Market at the Union Depot is back with 60 vendors and lots of Holiday Joy in 2023.” This event lasts from November 24 to December 17, 2023. 

These vendors offer ethnic foods, European handcrafted crafts, Glühwein (spiced mulled wine), European-inspired food, and other incredible food, drinks, and other products! There will also be various forms of entertainment: Minnesota Horn Quartet, Kids Crafts Activities, Santa, Alicia Renee, Compass Rose Brass Quartet, Vittorio and the Bridges, Irish Day, and so much more. 

The European Christmas Market Facebook page was overflowing with praise for this fun family event! Lillian Sanders’ comment on the European Christmas Market page said, “Spectacular! Went last weekend and got some great gifts and treats.” Commentor Ty Bob said, “We had so much fun there Saturday! The atmosphere and food were delicious, so wonderful! Loved the shops too.”

• 1st Weekend Nov 24-26
• 2nd Weekend Dec 1-3
• 3rd Weekend Dec 8-10
• 4th Weekend Dec 15-17
  • Friday: 4 PM to 9 PM
  • Saturdays: 10 AM to 8 PM
  • Sundays: 11 AM to 6 PM

The Explore Minnesota page describes the European Christmas Market in St. Paul as “the most authentic traditional holiday market of its kind in Minnesota, offering a unique shopping experience, family-friendly entertainment & intercultural activities. It is an admission-free public event based on the festive open-air Christkindl Markets that spring up in Germany, Austria, and other European countries during the Advent season. Shop for handmade European crafts or unique gifts from local vendors, drink Glühwein (spiced mulled wine), and taste European-inspired delicacies during four weekends in November and December.”

Other events coming to you this winter are: 

• The St. Paul Skyway Food Tour is $60 per person and public tours go from 11 am to 2pm November through March. This experience explores our “capital city’s robust food culture while exploring its rich history, including a lively gangster past. Tastings are based on our multicultural communities and the best water in the country for creating delicious craft beer.”

• The Heart of St. Paul Food Tour is $65 per person. This experience “explores the best of St Paul food in the heart of downtown. You’ll learn about the Capital City’s robust food culture while exploring its rich history, including a lively gangster past. Tastings are based on our multicultural communities and the best water in the country for creating delicious craft beer.” The public tour goes from 11:30am-2:30pm Saturdays (Apr – Oct) & 1:30 pm-4:30 pm Thursdays (Jun – Aug).

• All is Bright is a light tour for $175 for the entire bus exclusively for your group of up to 13 guests which means that’s only $13 per person for a full bus of your friends! “Embrace the cold in the Twin Cities’ only open-air fun bus.
