Time to Vote!

November 2, 2022

As we approach the November 8, 2022 election you are encouraged to exercise your constitutional rights to vote. Below is included the information that you will need to know in order to vote in Minneapolis.

Moving closer to November 8 here are some beneficial voting tips:

  • Pick your three most important policy issues, know what you believe about them, and choose politicians that align with those views.
  • Know who you are voting for, where you are voting, and know what you are voting on before you enter the polls.
  • Remember our hope is not in the things of this world, but in God alone.

Here is what we are voting on in the state of MN:

Tuesday, November 8 is the general election across our mighty country for various offices across the Federal, State and County levels as well as school board member positions. Another vital office that will be voted on will include the Minnesota congressperson who represents the Minneapolis district (we are in the 3rd district) in the U.S. House of Representatives. These are incredibly important positions! Therefore exercising your constitutional right to vote is an incredible privilege that we have in this country!

Here is where you will vote as a student in Minneapolis if you didn’t vote at home absentee:

Students can visit Elliot Park Recreation Center (1000 14th Street) and present your NCU student ID card. The voting hours at this location will be 7:00 am to 8:00 pm November 8 (information provided by Judah Sitcler, Apartment Resident Director, Residence Life Graduate Assistant).
