North Central Campus Safety and Security released the 2016 Annual Security Report and Fire Safety Report on Sept. 29. The report contains data on crimes and fires that happened during the 2015 calendar year and displays data from the previous two years.
One motor vehicle theft on campus property was recorded for 2015, the same as 2014. Six burglaries happened on campus property, and six occurred in on-campus student housing facilities. This is an increase from one reported for each location in 2014. One sex offense of rape was reported on campus property along with one rape in on-campus student housing facilities shown on the report. These are in comparison to no rape reports in either location from the previous two years.
Four robberies, one motor vehicle theft and one arrest for drug abuse violations occurred on the public property surrounding the North Central campus in the 2015 calendar year.
The released report contains crime definitions, location definitions and campus policies regarding the report of incidents occurring on campus, among other safety and security related information and campus policies.
The campus safety and security department encourages members of the North Central community to use the information provided in the report as resource in “working together to make the institution a safer place.”
Hard copies of the report are available in the campus safety and security office, and an electronic copy can be found on the Skyline page for Campus Safety and Security under the Student Resources and Staff Resources tabs.
